Hello Families,

We have had another fun week in Grade 2. Happy Father's Day to all of the wonderful dads at Andrew Sibbald School!

Important Dates
June 17th – Classroom Camping Day 
June 21st – National Indigenous People’s Day  
June 24th – Talent Show – 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.  
June 25th – Grade 5 Farewell (10:00 – 11:30); Grade 6 Farewell (1:00 – 2:30) 
June 26th – Report cards are visible to parents through PowerSchool  
June 27th – Last day of school for students (11:30 dismissal) 

Sports Day
We had an incredible time celebrating Sports Day with our Grade 5 buddies! Thank you to the staff Sports Day committee and the grade 5 and 6 students for organizing such a fun event.



Our events this week included:
  • Basketball Shoot
  • Discus Throw
  • Chicken Toss Relay
  • Long Jump



Volunteer Tea
Thank you to all of the volunteers who make Andrew Sibbald a wonderful school!



 


Classroom Camping
On June 17th, 2024, Grade 2 students will participate in "Classroom Camping," a day to build community and independence through camping-related learning tasks. Students are invited to bring a camping chair, hat, and flashlight labelled with masking tape and names. Students can also bring themselves a special snack (e.g., Smores). We respectfully decline any group snacks due to allergies and dietary concerns. We look forward to this exciting day! Thank you.
